Client Overview
Sleek Lines Furniture is a Minneapolis-based furniture conservation and restoration of fine woodwork company.
The owner and journeyman, James O’Connor, has a background in refinishing and conversation of antique or aging pieces. Throughout his career, James had seen a lot of unmet demand for in-home service from skilled craftsmen. Sleek Lines Furniture works to blend damage back into its original form, repairing pet/animal damage, moving damage, and more.
Our Objectives
James found us on his search for a nimble, affordable digital marketing firm that could quickly achieve his objectives.
Sleek Lines Furniture previously had a self-deployed website that, while it served its initial purpose, did not position the business to further tell its story as it grows. James realized he needed a stronger digital presence and a resource to make moves for him when he decided to make changes or additions. The business also had never built out local directory listing or focused on how to get found by users in the past.
The company also needed professional branding, a new brand business set, and new logos for various applications.
Sleek Lines Furniture - Website Design
Sleek Lines Furniture has a busy operator, who grew the business before his online presence was known. So the goal here was to expand his previous landing page presence into a multi-page gallery-forward space where clients can see the projects he’s done and book their appointment with James right on the website.
We moved the website off of its wordpress.com hosting environment and gave it a powerful backbone at SiteGround. The website is still in WordPress but developed in the Divi theme.
Brand Strategy
Sleek Lines was still a young company at this point, so branding, logos, color palate, and other items like business cards had not really been addressed yet in the business journey. Our branding specialist, Stacy, worked with James to understand his vision and presented multiple options for brand direction. We landed on this simple logo idea that embraces “sleek lines” and a muted color palate that reminds us of wood and everything “antique”.
